Current Observations
Toggle located on the right side of the display: Weather reports derived from a blend of real observational data merged into one single report to provide the ‘best estimate‘ of the weather relevant to your time and location.
Current Conditions/Best Estimate
In the absence of a weather sensor on site, knowing exactly what the current weather conditions are will never be 100%. At TruWeather, our goal is to get as close to 100% as possible by using algorithms that merge surrounding real-time data with various gridded data to give the user what TruWeather coins as the V360 Best Estimate. Though if a user does have a weather sensor at their location, we’ve ensured that the data from that sensor is exactly what you see.
Radar
Multiple radar sources into one view, giving users a clear picture of current precipitation, short-term trends, and high-resolution local storm activity across local, regional, and national operations.
The Weather Radar section provides a comprehensive view of precipitation and storm evolution by combining multiple radar sources into a single, easy-to-use experience. This includes traditional U.S. weather radar, a future radar estimate for short-term trend awareness, and high-resolution local radar networks. Together, these layers give users greater situational awareness across local, regional, and national operations.
The Current Radar feature displays observed precipitation from the past 1 hour through the most recent radar update.

The Future Radar displays an estimate of precipitation movement up to 1 hour into the future based on current radar trends and proprietary algorithms.

TruWeather has partnered with the University of Massachusetts to bring in their high-resolution X-band radar network that is expanding under the CASA (Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere) program. These systems use short range and high-resolution radar to provide detailed visibility of precipitation and storm features in select locations.

Area Weather
The weather tile visualization fuses the best data sets from observational and gridded predictions for cloud ceiling heights, visibility, temperature, surface and 80M AGL wind gust, speed and direction.
The V360 platform provides a quick, visual overview of key weather conditions using model-driven graphics such as wind, visibility, ceilings, and other parameters critical to low altitude aviation and automated systems. These tiles are designed to surface the most relevant information at a glance while maintaining consistency with other data sources. By translating forecast model data into clear, intuitive visuals, the Area Weather graphics help users quickly assess conditions and support faster, more informed operational decisions.

Aviation Weather
Aviation Weather brings PIREPs, GAIRMETs, SIGMETs, METARs, TAFs, and WAFS icing and turbulence guidance into one place, providing added decision support from official government aviation weather data.
TruWeather understands that access to all the weather data you need in one place adds value and saves time. V360’s Aviation Weather section provides all of the quality low altitude aviation focused products that NOAA offers conveniently within the platform.
Toggle on and overlay any of the following data sets:
PIREP – Real time pilot reports
GAIRMET – Graphical representation of aviation hazards
SIGMET – Graphical representation of significant aviation hazards
TAF – Forecasts specific to airfields

Observations
Observations come from public and private sources, including METARs, Mesonets, and customer or TruWeather-deployed sensors, with red, yellow, and green indicators highlighting adverse conditions.
V360’s observations section provides real-time measurement data from multiple sources and sensor types from TruWeather’s propriety network. These include surface-based stations, sensors at varying low altitude flight levels, a distributed camera network, and vertical atmospheric profiles supported by the latest technology in wind LIDAR systems and drone-based sensing. These observations support a layered understanding of current conditions at and above the operational environment on the micro-scale level. These same sensors are what drive TruWeather’s advanced modeling practices. Users can actively enhance the network by adding their own sensors, increasing data density and improving real-time visibility in their operational area. V360 is a sensor agnostic platform. TruWeather can work with you to recommend the best sensor for your operations at the price point that works for you.
Surface-Based Observations display real-time weather measurements collected at ground level, including parameters such as wind, temperature, and pressure, with some more advanced sensors offering cloud ceiling and visibility measurements.

All sensors will display fixed boxes at the top of the sensor window. These represent parameters most useful to the user and create fixed locations to expect these parameters.

View the vertical wind profile data from a deployed wind profiler in the area. The Vertical Profile feature provides detailed observations of atmospheric conditions from the surface upward using advanced sensors such as wind LIDAR systems and weather drones. These systems generate vertical profiles similar to traditional weather balloon soundings, but with significantly higher update frequency. This high-resolution data allows users to monitor rapid changes in low-altitude winds and atmospheric structure, which are especially important for safe and efficient sUAS and advanced air mobility operations.

Camera Network
Observations derived by performing analytics on a network of both private and public cameras (CCTV); providing metadata and observation metrics for road conditions, visibility, and precipitation.
The Camera Network provides access to real-time visual observations from a wide range of camera sources across the region. These include publicly available transportation and infrastructure cameras (such as those operated by Departments of Transportation) as well as cameras deployed directly by our team to support weather monitoring, validation of other sensed data, and assessment of variables not able to be sensed by traditional means. Users can view both static image cameras and live video feeds to quickly assess current environmental and operational conditions. For cameras with live feeds, historical footage may also be available, allowing users to review recent conditions and observe how weather and visibility have evolved over time.
Decision tools for go/no go clarity
MissionCAST
A mission-specific Go/No-Go stoplight chart for designated takeoff and landing locations, using custom airframe and mission thresholds. Each weather variable is optimized using a tailored blend of microscale and regional models.
MissionCast is a point-based forecast tool designed to support go/no-go decisions with clear, location-specific weather guidance. It provides both short- and long-range forecasts focused on the weather parameters most likely to affect aviation operations, with particular relevance for UAS missions. Custom color-coded thresholds can be tailored to the needs of a specific mission, operation, or customer, making it easy for users to quickly understand weather risk and operational suitability.

RouteCAST
A route-based planning tool that maps custom flight paths, highlighting potential impacts from ceiling, visibility, and wind. RouteCAST pulls the best available predictive weather data for mission-specific planning.

Once the route and parameters are established, the user will be directed back to the map where the identified route will be assigned color codes. Any point on the route can be clicked on to display additional data.

Lightning
V360 provides real-time, continuously updated lightning activity across U.S. locations, helping users monitor developing convective threats and enabling automated systems to respond as conditions change.
The V360 Platform offers real-time, continuously updating lightning activity to support time-sensitive operational decisions for U.S. based locations. Data crucial to launch, recovery, ground handling, personnel safety and in-flight activities. The live feed allows users to monitor developing convective threats and enables automated systems to make changes.

Alerts
The Alerts section automatically notifies users when weather conditions reach custom thresholds. Parameters includes: ceiling, visibility, surface winds, winds aloft, lightning, and NWS warnings and alerts.
The Alerts section provides automated notifications when weather conditions meet user-defined thresholds. Alerts can be configured from gridded datasets, which monitor conditions across a user-defined area, and sensor-based observations, which track conditions at specific selected sensors. This provides users with hands-off monitoring of critical weather data and situational awareness changing conditions.

Sensor Alerts
Click the Alert button in the top right corner to turn on/off alerts for that sensor.

All sensor alert thresholds will be based off the high-risk category of the customer thresholds set under the user profile.
