Operations Manager
TruWeather Solutions is looking for an Operations Manager for our Albany Operations Center. Employees will be New York State tax exempt until December 31st, 2026.
The TWS Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations (DO) and is responsible for making sure the daily operations meet the expectations of our customers. The Operations Manager will engage with customers, forecasters, and the DO to ensure quality control focusing on operational processes, forecast quality, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality control forecast products and manage quality control metrics.
- Supervise operational forecasters’ duties pertaining to the delivery of forecast products to customers.
- Manage and enforce SOPs. Initial procedures will be based on service level agreements (SLAs) with individual customers.
- Schedule employees for shifts, taking into account customer traffic, active weather, and employee strengths.
- Report forecaster needs to DO, including labor/scheduling shortfalls, equipment, software, personnel issues etc.
- Fill in as forecaster as needed.
- Provide input on requirements for new operations center systems for forecasting, client product delivery, communication, and system health & monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with TWS leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure, processes, and personnel necessary to meet objectives.
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience: The Operations Manager should possess an academic degree or equivalent military training specializing in operational meteorology disciplines and should have at least 5+ years of exceptional service, results, and impacts in:
- Leading meteorology teams and advocating for professional development
- Providing quality weather products and services for clients
- Managing customer requirements and enforce industry standards
- Displaying impeccable attention to detail
- Briefing customers in a clear and concise manner
- Training subordinates on processes and procedures
